About

Hey there! Thanks for joining me.

I established this blog in 2020 because a few years ago, when my life changed, I struggled with desperately getting back to the way things used to be. As I started to come to terms with my new life I decided other aspects of my life had to change as well. It still took awhile for me to fully accept a 180 degree lifestyle change. When I did I found it was not only beneficial but also fun.

You see, I have a blood disorder. I struggled to find people with similar experiences to my own. So I decided to create a blog where I can share my own experiences and advice.

I wanted to create a community for anyone living with a blood disorder who may feel lonely, who want to be a part of a community of people with similar experiences, and who want to change their life for the better with a healthier lifestyle.

We can all be on this journey together. I hope by joining me on this journey you gain knowledge and feel empowered to take back control of your life.

I’m still stumbling along this path and learning new things. I would love to share my experiences with you as to what works for me and what doesn’t, as well as hear from all of you some techniques that you have tried.

I’m just your average anxiety-filled New York-er who prefers tea instead of coffee. I’m a teacher, aunt, and dog mom. I’m a bookworm and huge Potter-head (for all the muggles, this means I love Harry Potter). I tend to not drink hot drinks hot. This isn’t done on purpose, but it probably stems from being a teacher. I’m messy and I’m lazy…the later being a big challenge in living a healthier lifestyle.

Since we’re friends now, you should probably know that I also don’t like any soft, chewy foods such as marshmallows and gummy bears. I love a good s’mores bar, but mostly because I enjoy making s’mores for others.
